While Synergy Pacific focuses a lot of time and energy on the patented Quattro^TM technology, the company also excels at producing traditional laminated wood beams and posts. The same attention to quality finger-jointing, incredible gluing and sizing accuracy, and product straightness found in our QuattroPost products is found in the traditionally laminated product lines. All inbound fibre is graded, checked for moisture, finger-jointed to forty feet long perfectly straight, then laminated and cut to the customer's required lengths. QuattroLam Industrial is the complementing partner of QuattroSpan that makes up Synergy’s TallWall program generally used in balloon wall and shear wall building applications.

Historically, builders have been forced to use traditional solid sawn studs and timbers for balloon wall and shear wall framing. The reality of solid sawn lumber is that it is not dimensionally true or consistent. Synergy’s QuattroLam Industrial is engineered long length beams. These are finger-jointed and laminated together and are available in a variety of sizes and lengths. The laminated wood post and beam can be used in either vertical or horizontal applications.

The favoured wood species in states like California and Arizona is Douglas-fir (Fir-Larch) because of it’s high density properties. Douglas-fir is also the worst structural species for warping, twisting and shrinking. The result is walls that are not uniformly straight unless they are planed after installation. QuattroSpan and QuattroLam posts are moisture stable and finger-jointed so they are not subject to the same stability issues.
